Para algo que começou no passado e continua até agora, use 'have' + particípio: 'I've played since I was ten'. 'Since' = desde (ponto de partida), 'for' = por (duração). 'Há duas semanas' = 'two weeks ago', com o 'ago' no fim.
For something that started in the past and is still true, use have + past participle: I've played since I was ten. 'Since' marks the starting point, 'for' the length of time. For a finished moment in the past, put 'ago' after the time: two weeks ago.
Desde quando = SINCE. Quanto tempo = FOR. Há X dias atrás = X days AGO.
Wrong: I play since I was ten
Right: I've played since I was ten
Wrong: I started before two weeks
Right: I started two weeks ago
Wrong: Yes, it's closed since March
Right: Yes, it's been closed since March

(fixed) We've been waiting here (fixed) for 20 minutes

Yes, it's (fixed) been closed since March
